25 Years of Statistics: Maldives is a comprehensive and systematic
summary of basic statistical information of the Maldives covering
a wide range of fields.
This
publication contains relevant statistics on the Maldives taken
from the previous Statistical Yearbooks of the Maldives published
since 1982. The Statistics Section has compiled the book for
easy reference for the planners, researchers, policy makers,
decision makers and data users in general.
The
book includes data on the country’s geography, population,
employment, housing, health, education, law and order. Data
related to the economic sector includes fisheries and agriculture,
tourism, transport and communication, electricity and water,
public finance, money and banking, foreign trade and balance
of payments, national accounts and prices.
The
tables published in this book are available on the Ministry’s
website (http://www.planning.gov.mv). This publication is
also available on CD-ROM.
